Jake Terrell is a native of Hampton Roads, Virginia. He graduated from Old Dominion University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in History Education. He earned his law degree from Campbell University School of law in 2020. Following his admission to the North Carolina bar, Jake worked as a family law attorney for four years, where he represented clients in complex and emotionally charged matters including child custody and equitable distribution. His years of experience in litigation, strategic negotiation, and guiding clients through deeply personal and sensitive matters gives him a unique perspective to cases involving students with disabilities and their families.

Jake resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife and daughter. He enjoys hiking and reading in his free time and is a friend to all dogs.
